I'm not really clear which section to post this in, as I'm not sure which part of the equation is befuddling me. I'm trying Quantrix 2.3 on NeXTSTEP 3.3 in Previous 4.4, emulating a 128MB NeXTStation Nitro. I am on Windows 11.
According to the Quantrix online help, categories can be linked between tables by "press the Control key and drag a category tile from one view into the body of a different table's view." However, when I hold Control to drag something it only brings up the application menu, acting like a right-click.
I have the mouse captured (ctrl-alt-m), and the Windows key is properly captured by Previous so I can use keyboard shortcuts. I don't *think* the Control key is being intercepted and reinterpreted at the system level as "right click" here; but I'm honestly not sure.
Can anyone confirm that Control-drag works in Quantrix 2.3 across tables? Is there a trick to the Control key on Previous (I can't find any documentation for Previous that explains these minutiae)? I should note that this copy of Quantrix is unregistered, but according to the launch message only Print and Save are disabled, so I would expect this function to work. That said, the launch message might be lying!
First of all make sure that "Map control-click to right-click" is disabled in the Mouse options.
If that was not the cause further investigations are necessary.
Oh thank you so much. I completely didn't notice that option. 🙇
That did the trick!
