• @pTek found this one: thanks to the world-famous silly hat man,  has a browsable version of the nextcube.org dump. This dates to 2010-08-17 and has material going back to 2000-12-25 (and possibly earlier), which is basically a dead zone in my archives of the NeXT diaspora. Although the MusicKit_4.2 image he found there does exist elsewhere (NEXTTOYOU and nice.ch both have it) I have no doubt that we'll find community releases that are otherwise lost.

• Exhaustive dumps of all the NeXT newsgroups are available at the INDeX. I extracted them from a mega-collection at archive.org. These are text files with the .mbox extension. NeXT Mail.app can import them but will mangle them (any line beginning with the word "from" turns into a new message, yikes!) They also need spam removed, especially for the later years. There is a noticeable dip in post frequency during 1992 which is also present in Big Green CD and Peanuts compilations. I have not been able to find a satisfying explanation for what caused this; perhaps someone has a foggy memory of the era and can explain it.
